De Bono's Six Thinking Hats - Mobile Phone Wiki

This subject is teaching me so many new strategies to use in the classroom that I have never heard of before! De Bono's Six Thinking Hats. The Diagram Below explains what each colour means:
















After familiarising myself with what "six thinking hats" actually was, I could take part in the Mobile Phone Wiki. As well as this thinking strategy, I had also never used a Wiki, or knew what one was!!

I found a wiki to be very useful and easy to use. I was late in adding my comments into the field and there were a lot of comments already there for me to read, but I decided to write my thoughts down first, and then read other persons opinions afterward.

I think that in a classroom a wiki would be useful for all types of students. By using the six thinking hats model, every student will be able to contribute to the section that they feel comfortable submitting. Some students are better at researching and finding facts, and find it harder to come up with giving their personal opinons, for example. Using the six hat model, students can write in whichever hat column they want to contribute to and then read other students thoughts and opinions. This enables students to start the ball rolling in their mind and expand on what other students have written.
